This year in the NCAA football season has raised lots of eyebrows, if you are looking at the ten of the twenty-five. If you do not know the top 10 as of today allow me to show you; 1-LSU, 2-BAMA, 3- OKLA ST, 4-BOISE ST, 5-CLEM, 6-STANF, 7-OREG, 8-KAN ST, 9-OK, 10-ARK.
Some people may like how this looks and others are outraged, mainly becasue of the 4-7 spots on here. Number 4, BOISE ST, started off pretty high in the AP poll this season in the lower teens. In week 1 they played UGA and beat them pretty bad, and ever since BOISE ST have steadily rose in the rankings, they have not played a single tough opponent. That is until BOISE takes on TCU.
Some people argue the fact that BOISE does not deserve number 4 right now, but the fact is they havent lost a game. For them to advance to the National Championship game, two things need to happen; they have to go undefeated and OKLA ST need to lose. Luckily enough for the SEC and BIG12, the Mountain West Conference does not have an automatic qualifying bid. So, a one loss LSU, BAMA or OK ST, may still make it over an undefeated BOISE ST.
But if you're winning, you're winning, you can't go down in the rankings if you're blowing out your opponents at your house or on the road. Then why isnt CLEM ranked higher, they beat 3 ranked opponents in a row and the most significant was agaisnt VA TECH, in Blacksburg. You may ask the same question with Stanford, they are in the Pac 12 and have the longest winning streak in the NCAA.
Is the computer saying BOISE ST is better than CLEM, STANF, and so on. Well yeah, thats the image were all getting. Now I leave you with this question, is the rankings system right, or should the CPU get a reboot right in the chin?
